Normal Service Returning October
Hello! We will restore normal service within 7 days and thank users for their patience and continued patronage. Keep visiting our sponsors and of course buying things if you need as every time you interact with advertisers on this website we are supported financially and gain credibility.
Our new network for guests will aim to service at least 12 hours of the 24 hours day and deliver SMS text messages for free to any no-charge mobile number. A small advertisement link is attached to messages and no follow up advertising is triggered. To improve our service coverage, (maybe 24 hour coverage of SMS text to your country) please contact me to negotiate the details. The cost is FREE if your android smartphone free outgoing text messages and we limit your country, time of day, and number of messages to your preference. For each message you send, your link is sent as well! For relaying the text messages you can advertise a product or service with a short statement and a web link.

Back Online after Technical Glitch
Hi all, 2pc.in free text messaging is working again! For the last month message delivery has been sub-standard or not working at all! Back on track, still looking for someone to share the outgoing messages. Maybe 100 a month and would increase our reliability but you need unlimited outgoing. In return you can advertise a link with each message sent.

Do you have Android + Mobile Internet + Free Outgoing SMS to your Country?
To run 2pc.in I need to run my phone all the time. I don't pay a dollar to run it and you can too.
If we had a second person or more relaying free messages the site would no longer give an error when my phone is dead. I have a system that has been running without incident for years and it is easy to add additional message relays (North America or otherwise). You just add an app and I flip a switch and our phones will take turns if we're sending messages to the same area.
Your benefit - the entire reason I run this site is advertising. Every message you relay will have your own advertisement link appended to the message. This is 100% free advertising people actually read. Once at least but I was considering contextualized or rotating ads.
I'd be happy with 1 other person in North America with an Android smartphone + free SMS + mobile internet. Some users have no other method to send SMS and if I were them I'd find another provider. I think we're the fastest and least complicated. Higher reliability will increase the current 10 a day (which was 1 a day not too long ago) however if we continue this way I don't think it will sustain users for long. If I want to send a message my phone is on already so this never bothers me.

New Features and upcoming REPLY feature!
Just a quick note to say thanks for your suggestions, we've improved the website:
Want to become a 2pc SMS text messaging partner and make some money?
We're also looking for partners worldwide to join us in relaying text messages outside of North America. The compensation is free targeted advertising for you or your clients (small link added to outgoing texts). We don't spam or send unsolicited mail ever and all text messaging is confidential. Advertising is limited to the website and text message. Any interested professionals or businesses (preferably outside North America) are encouraged to use the feedback page to provide details and request additional information.
API for business will be available for general public this summer. Feature requirements are welcome.
The business based API is currently being used by a commercial software application that monitors and trades in foreign exchange. The business licenses the technology as a service and runs entirely on it's own hardware, all text messaging is secure and advertisement free. We run everything for this client in our own office but the system can be deployed on location anywhere. The cost is cheaper than any other messaging system available. The system is scalable from a few hundred text messages a month to tens of thousands. Suggestions on integration issues or questions are welcome. Licensing is flexible and can be modified for your needs.
- send free SMS text messages to any North American number,
- SMS are sent instantaneously (you must wait on the page until it says sent),
- and we're looking for more feedback, details below!
How to setup free online SMS replies?
The next thing I'd like to hear from users about is how to implement replies? Some of the people receiving your messages don't fully understand they cannot reply and I'd like to forward their replies to your email or on the website. The only problem here is how to make it simple and still work when two people use the website to send messages to the same phone? There are several ways to do this but I don't want it to be annoying, I find texting on a tiny phone annoying enough (hence the website) but it can't be prone to replying to the wrong person or preventing a reply because another message came in.

WIND Mobile and New Telecom Merger
The rumor mill is whirring as stories that Wind Mobile's given up on the fight against the communications regulations... Can't it ever be as simple as the price is right? The time was certainly right for a purchase but will Russian state supported corporations actually have an easier time with our protective communications regulations? This many years after the cold war and our best friend in the political arena is still friendlier with a torture supporting state and instigator of terrorist resentment than the professional and somewhat more ethical Russia - you can bet this communications regulation will temporarily, for once, be supported vehemently by the US!

Developer Content for IP to Location API from Quova
Well, the api's integrated and it was a piece of cake - IP addresses can be looked up with the Quova (man that's a tongue twisty word) API and some interesting information is returned like area code and whatnot. Although it did say my server in Chicago was in Brazil, hey It's free! I don't think this is quite contest material but check it out on the Privacy Page! Let me know if there are any other ideas out there. I'd be happy to make it of use!
The API is quite spiffy so developers are encouraged to go here:

Back Online 4 All North America!
That's right, we're back and better than ever. You can now send messages to any mobile phone in the USA or Canada. Any provider, Any time, and you can send messages up to 380 characters!
We're sorry for the delay, chipmunks chewed through the internet cabling. You can bet it won't happen again. The outrage or 'outpour of support' was really quite thoughtful. To ensure I never have to fear walking to work again, we've hired a few junior developers from a third world country to help with maintenance. =) Thank you Wind SMS Fans!
On a side note, there is now a Donate button in case you're rich with all the money you saved by switching to Wind. You should contact me as there is a great mobile phone related project we could work on!
